Salary: $70,039.86 -$82,400 and a comprehensive benefits package. (Starting salary adjusted to commensurate with experience)

CPH is also the Network Lead Organization for the Ontario Structured Psychotherapy (OSP) Program in Brampton, Halton and Mississauga. OSP offers adults (18+) in Ontario free, short-term, evidence-based cognitive-behavioural therapy and related services for depression, anxiety, and anxiety-related conditions.
What is this role?
CarePoint Health is seeking a clinician to conduct clinical assessments and service navigation for adults referred to the OSP program. This is an exciting opportunity to join the program which consists of a network of organizations working together to deliver and sustain effective psychotherapy. The successful candidate will be provided with training in OSP assessment and will be part of a broader team supporting clients across the region. This is an ideal role for a candidate with a strong desire to work within a publicly funded mental health program and provide service for a diverse population.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Review mental health referrals and intake measures completed by clients prior to meeting with them for the assessment
· Conduct clinical assessments (e.g., Diagnostic Assessment Research Tool Screener, PHQ-9, GAD-7 and other diagnostic specific assessments) to identify symptoms and main problem descriptors (e.g., social anxiety vs. generalized anxiety symptoms; depressive symptoms vs. posttraumatic stress) experienced by clients and inform individualized treatment plans
· Work with clients to triage them to the most appropriate OSP service
· Provide service navigation for clients when OSP will not meet their needs. This includes warm connections to other services within the region (when possible) and contacting primary care providers to communicate service navigation options.
· Connect with referral sources including Primary Care Physicians when required to support the completion of an assessment
· Provide assessments with the support of interpretation services when required by the client
· Write detailed notes of assessment utilizing a digital health care tool
· Learn about and stay up to date on services available across the region.
· Collaborate with team members at CarePoint Health and across OSP’s network of organizations to ensure the client receives timely and appropriate treatment.
· Participate in training and ongoing education as required.
· Participate in regular clinical consultation and related activities to ensure adherence to provincial program guidelines.
· Maintain accurate and timely documentation and reports in adherence with your Regulatory College and program specific requirements, including collecting relevant data to evaluate client’s needs and make triage decisions..
· Contribute to ongoing program development and program evaluation and implement new practices as required.
· Manager has the right to assign additional responsibilities.
Requirements/Qualifications:
Educational and Credentialing Qualifications
· Registered member in good standing with one of the following five Colleges regulated to perform the Controlled Act of Psychotherapy in Ontario:
· The Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Services Workers
· The College of Nurses of Ontario
· The College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario
· The College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario
· The College of Psychologists of Ontario
· Masters degree preferred
· Punjabi language proficiency is required.
Clinical Knowledge, Experience and Key Competencies:
· A minimum of 1 year of previous experience in triage and clinical assessment required
· 2-3 years of clinical mental health experience preferred
· Experience in the delivery of CBT is an asset
· Knowledge of and appreciation of evidence-based psychotherapy including familiarity with psychotherapeutic and assessment techniques in order to make eligibility and triage decisions
· Knowledge of CBT, Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD and other evidence-based structured psychotherapies and experience working with people with depression and/or anxiety (including obsessive-compulsive concerns and post-traumatic stress).
· Understanding and knowledge of the distinguishing features of depression, anxiety, and anxiety related conditions, and the etiology and treatment of these disorders.
· Preference for formal CBT training in the structured clinical protocols used in the OSP model (e.g., Mind over Mood, Cognitive Processing Therapy for Posttraumatic Stress, Exposure and Response Prevention, Prolonged Exposure for Posttraumatic Stress)
· Knowledge of the relevant sections of legislation, i.e. Mental Health Act, Personal Health Information Protection Act, Regulated Health Professions Act, Health Care Consent Act, and professional standards to ensure compliance and consistency in provision of client care.
· Experience with Computer software to generate correspondence and input data for a variety of program-specific tools e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, workload measurement, and electronic health records.
· The ability to work with clients of diverse ethno-racial and cultural backgrounds and proficiency in a second language is considered an asset (e.g. Hindi, Punjabi, Urdu, Arabic, Polish, Spanish, French, Mandarin) is preferred.
· Experience in service delivery rooted in client-centred care and anti-racist practice is an asset.
· Experience working in primary care, community-based or outpatient setting is an asset.

· Attention to detail in collecting and reporting client and program information.
· Demonstrated commitment to practice based on inclusion and equity for all persons regardless of age, income, racial and ethnic origins, language, gender, sexual orientation, religion, intellectual ability, and health status.
· A growth mindset with a passion for learning and continuous improvement is required.

· A satisfactory and current Criminal Background and Vulnerable Sector Screening required.
