About the Opportunity
Staff Shop is currently hiring experienced Corporate Hospitality Servers to join our preferred team supporting a premium executive dining and conference environment in Downtown Toronto.
This is not a traditional restaurant serving position. The environment is professional, team-oriented and service-focused, with our team supporting corporate meetings, executive functions, conferences and special events.
Depending on the day's service, you may assist with room setup, buffet or plated service, food and beverage delivery, clearing, polishing, resetting spaces and other hospitality support duties.
This is an hourly position. Gratuities are not guaranteed and should not be expected.
We are looking for hospitality professionals who take pride in polished service, enjoy working as part of a team and are interested in becoming trusted, returning members of our corporate hospitality roster.
What You'll Be Doing
- Provide polished, attentive service to corporate guests, executives and event attendees
- Support plated, buffet, reception and meeting-style food and beverage service
- Set up dining rooms, meeting spaces and service areas according to event requirements
- Deliver and clear food, beverages, glassware and service items professionally
- Polish glassware, cutlery and other service items as required
- Reset rooms and service areas between meetings and functions
- Maintain clean, organized and professional guest-facing spaces
- Anticipate guest needs while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries
- Communicate effectively with culinary, service and leadership teams
- Assist with dishwashing and general hospitality support when required
- Adapt to different assignments based on the needs of each event
- Follow all food safety, sanitation and client-site standards
Who We're Looking For
You may be a strong fit if you:
- Have 2+ years of relevant hospitality experience, preferably within corporate dining, conference centres, hotels, catering, banquets, fine dining or elevated event service
- Are comfortable working in a polished, business-first environment
- Understand that excellent hospitality includes both guest-facing service and behind-the-scenes support
- Are comfortable completing setup, clearing, polishing, resetting and general support duties
- Work well as part of a larger team and can take direction from on-site leadership
- Are professional, personable and confident without being overly casual
- Have strong attention to detail and presentation standards
- Are proactive and willing to help wherever needed during service
- Are reliable, punctual and committed once accepting a shift
- Are comfortable standing and walking for extended periods and carrying service items
- Hold a valid Ontario Smart Serve certification

This is a casual, event-driven opportunity, and weekly hours are not guaranteed.
Most opportunities take place Monday through Friday, with morning and daytime availability particularly valuable. Shift times and lengths vary depending on the corporate event schedule.
We are looking to build a consistent preferred team. Team members who demonstrate strong performance, reliability and availability may be prioritized for repeat assignments.

- Taking direction and adapting your responsibilities based on the needs of each service
- Maintaining polished corporate service standards throughout your entire shift
- Strict punctuality, attendance and professional presentation expectations
