Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Tandoori Chef to join our vibrant culinary team. The ideal candidate will bring extensive restaurant and kitchen experience, with a focus on authentic Indian cuisine, particularly tandoori dishes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead food preparation, oversee kitchen operations, and ensure the highest standards of food safety and quality. Candidates with strong leadership skills, supervising experience, and a background in food service and hospitality are encouraged to apply. The Tandoori Chef will play a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences and maintaining our restaurant’s reputation for excellence.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook authentic tandoori dishes with precision and consistency, ensuring high-quality standards.
Supervise kitchen staff, including assisting with food preparation and managing daily kitchen operations.
Oversee food handling procedures to ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
Lead food service activities, ensuring timely delivery of dishes to guests while maintaining excellent customer service.
Manage inventory levels of ingredients specific to Indian cuisine, including spices and specialty items.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in accordance with health and safety standards.
Train and mentor team members on proper cooking techniques, food presentation, and safety protocols.
Collaborate with restaurant management to develop new menu items and improve existing offerings.
Ensure all dishes are prepared in accordance with recipes, presentation standards, and customer preferences.

Requirements

Proven experience in restaurant management or as a chef specializing in Indian cuisine or Tandoori cooking.
Supervising experience within a busy kitchen environment is highly desirable.
Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food handling safety practices.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively in a fast-paced setting.
Knowledge of restaurant operations, hospitality standards, and customer service excellence.
Demonstrated ability to oversee food safety protocols and maintain high sanitation standards.
Experience working in the food industry with a focus on quality control and consistency.
Ability to serve guests professionally while managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
