Full job description

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Estimator to join our team. This entry-level role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in project estimation, bidding, and cost analysis within a dynamic construction environment. The ideal candidate will support senior estimators by preparing accurate cost estimates and contributing to project planning. A background in construction and familiarity with estimating tools are preferred, along with a strong interest in career growth within the industry.

Duties

Assist in preparing detailed construction estimates by analyzing project plans, specifications, and drawings.
Support the review of project bids, proposals, and scope of work to ensure completeness and competitiveness.
Gather and analyze pricing from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure accurate cost projections.
Collaborate with project managers and senior estimators to develop comprehensive bid packages.
Participate in negotiations with vendors and subcontractors to secure favorable terms.
Maintain organized records of estimates, bids, and related documentation for future reference.
Contribute to project management activities by assisting with scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation as needed.

Skills

Strong negotiation skills for engaging with vendors and subcontractors.
Basic understanding of construction estimating processes and principles.
Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.
Construction experience or background is highly desirable to understand project scope and requirements.
Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate pricing and cost analysis.
Effective communication skills to collaborate across teams and stakeholders.

Pay: $24.00-$26.00 per hour
