Full job description

Job Overview

Join us as a Powder Coater, where you'll play a vital role in applying high-quality powder coatings to metal components. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work with advanced equipment and contribute to the production of durable, visually appealing finished products. As a Powder Coater, you'll ensure that each item meets our strict quality standards while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. Your mechanical knowledge, attention to detail, and hands-on skills will drive the success of our coating processes and support our commitment to excellence.

PLEASE NOTE: Temperature inside the premises will be quite high.

Duties

Prepare metal parts for coating by cleaning, masking, and handling with appropriate hand tools and power tools
Operate powder coating equipment, including spray guns and automated systems, ensuring even coverage and adherence to specifications
Load and unload parts using cranes or forklifts safely and efficiently
Inspect coated items for quality issues such as runs, drips, or uneven coverage; perform touch-ups as needed
Maintain cleanliness of work area and equipment to ensure optimal operation and safety standards
Follow lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow, reduce waste, and improve process efficiency
Assist with assembly or machining tasks when required to support production flow

Requirements

Mechanical knowledge with experience using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
Ability to operate cranes and forklifts safely; certification preferred but not required
Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and quality inspections
Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as machining, assembly, and welding
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles to promote continuous improvement
Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is highly desirable
Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety and quality standards
