The pay rate starts at $21.50-23.69 per hour.
Security Guards needed for Full-Time Position (Temporary) at a site in Toronto, ON.
This position requires a highly visible security presence while providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced commercial environment. Guards will conduct patrols, monitor access control, respond to incidents, support tenants and visitors, and maintain a safe and secure environment throughout the property.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of office towers, retail areas, lobbies, stairwells, elevators, parking areas, and other common spaces.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and public areas to maintain a strong security presence.
- Control access to restricted offices, secure tenant areas, rooftop, and mechanical rooms.
- Monitor CCTV, alarm systems, and building security equipment while reporting suspicious activity immediately.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies, fire alarms, disturbances, trespassing, and other security incidents.
- Assist tenants, visitors, contractors, and building staff with professionalism and exceptional customer service.
- Identify and report safety hazards including spills, damaged equipment, unsecured doors, and other risks.
- Support emergency response procedures including evacuations and incident management.
- De-escalate conflicts professionally while maintaining a calm and confident presence.
- Complete accurate Daily Occurrence Reports, incident reports, and detailed documentation.
- Work collaboratively with property management, emergency services, and fellow security personnel.
- Enforce site policies, security procedures, and safety regulations.
Apply if you:
- Possess a valid Ontario Security Guard License & CPR First Aid Certification Level C
- Must have minimum 1 year experience in the field of security (retail, commercial, office tower strongly preferred)
- Have previous experience with access control, patrols, and report writing.
- Must be flexible in schedule (Days, Nights, Afternoons, & Holidays)
- Eligible to work in Canada
- Able to provide quality customer service and maintain a high standard of service
- Demonstrate excellent observation, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
- Can remain calm and professional during emergencies and high-pressure situations.
- Have a strong work ethic with commitment to your team
- Alert: A good security guard is always alert and aware of his surroundings
- Great Physical fitness: A good officer needs to portray a clean professional image
Preferred:
- Use of Force certificate
- Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB) certificate

Thursday: 1600-0000
Friday: 1600-0000
Saturday: 1200-0000
