Our New General Labour - Fabricator:
The General Labour - Fabricator focuses on countersinking, beveling, polishing, and finishing metal parts according to engineering drawings and production requirements. The ideal candidate has experience working with stainless steel or aluminum, understands metal fabrication drawings, and takes pride in producing high-quality finishes. Welding experience is not required but considered an asset.
What you bring to the role:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
-
2+ years of experience in metal fabrication, metal finishing, or a manufacturing environment
-
Experience with countersinking, deburring, beveling, grinding, or polishing metal parts
-
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
-
Experience working in a manufacturing or fabrication shop environment
-
Experience working with stainless steel and aluminum an asset
-
Experience working in general labour an asset
-
Basic welding knowledge (TIG or MIG) an asset but not required
-
Ability to use basic measuring tools (tape measure, calipers, gauges)
-
Strong attention to detail, especially for surface finish and part quality
-
Reliability and punctuality are essential

Able to work independently or in a team, with minimal oversight
-
Eligible to work in Canada
What you will do in the role:

Perform countersinking, beveling, grinding, and polishing on metal parts.

Remove burs and rough edges to ensure clean finishes and proper fit.

Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

Use measuring tools to verify dimensions and quality.
-
Prepare parts for fabrication, assembly, or welding processes.

Operate fabrication equipment such as drill press, grinders, and hand tools.
-
Maintain high standards and apply attention to product visual appearance and finish quality to meet customer requirements.

Work with standard fabrication and finishing tools.
-
Other duties as assigned.

Able to lift up to 15lbs; may work in hot areas 5%, noise 0%.

Ensure adherence to Health and Safety as well as active participation in 5S activities in work area.
This position is located at 6635 Ordan Drive in Mississauga, ON. This is a day shift position – hours are typically Mondays to Thursdays from 7:00am to 4:30pm, and Fridays from 7:00am to 3:30pm.
This is a Full-time, Hourly position.
