Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Bookkeeper / Administrative Assistant, where your expertise will drive the financial integrity and operational efficiency of our organization. This role offers an exciting opportunity to apply your accounting skills in a fast-paced environment, ensuring accurate financial record-keeping and seamless administrative support. You’ll be a vital part of maintaining our financial health, supporting compliance, and contributing to our organizational success with energy and precision.

Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms.
Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger accounting to ensure accuracy of financial data.
Prepare and process journal entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll transactions with attention to detail.
Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis to verify financial integrity in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
Assist with governmental and non-profit accounting practices, including tax reporting and compliance requirements.
Support budgeting processes by tracking expenses and preparing financial reports that communicate organizational financial health clearly.
Maintain meticulous records of all financial transactions, supporting audit readiness and internal controls.
Provide front desk support by supervising visitor access and managing multi-line phone systems with professionalism

Requirements

Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms; familiarity with Quicken is a plus.
Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles, including double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, journal entries, and general ledger reconciliation.
Knowledge of governmental and non-profit accounting standards along with GAAP compliance.
Ability to perform bank reconciliations, account analysis, and balance sheet reconciliation accurately.
Excellent organizational skills with proficiency in 10 key typing for data entry accuracy.
Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—along with professional phone etiquette
Experience with payroll processing and tax-related financial tasks is highly desirable.
Strong grasp of financial concepts such as account reconciliation, budget management, and technical accounting practices.
