Since its inception in 2009, Kingswood Academy has been providing our community with an exceptional academic Montessori Casa Program. A natural progression for the Academy was to add a private school that covers Kindergarten through Grade 5, guided by our impeccable standards and classically trained teachers.
In 2016, after significant growth, we built a state of the art 20,000 square foot building on 2 acres of serene wooded land, backing on to the Northwest Trail. In 2021, we obtained another location across the street, with an additional 12 acres of wooded lands. This setting is unique to Moncton, and it provides a learning environment unparalleled in the city.

We're looking for an Elementary School Teacher to join our team of qualified professionals to help shape the minds of the next generation. The successful candidate will possess a strong knowledge and appreciation for the subjects they are teaching, as well as a desire to maintain a collaborative learning environment for their students and fellow teachers. We are looking for a passionate educator who will partner with students, parents, staff and administrators to support our students' growth academically, socially and emotionally.
Responsibilities
- Whole management of the assigned classroom
- Curriculum Preparation (resources provided)
- Preparation and review of student progress reports
- Parent/teacher interviews
- Contribution/Collaboration in staff meetings
Required Qualifications and skills:
- Minimum of a Bachelor of Education degree (transcripts provided)
- Current teaching certification from a Canadian province
- Effective communication in written and spoken English
- Effective communication in written and spoken French is an asset
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Strong organizational, communication, administrative and classroom management skills
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
Preferred Experience and Qualities:
- Minimum of three years of teaching experience, preferably in the lower elementary grades
- Montessori training or experience is an asset
