Working Business Language: Bilingual French and English. This role is considered a head office role and requires regular interaction with internal and external stakeholders across Canada where the business languages utilized are both English and French. As such, the successful candidate must be fully proficient in English and French.

Salary: At Wawanesa, salary is only one component of a holistic, comprehensive and competitive offering that we provide to our employees. The salary offered for this role is determined with consideration to various factors, including but not limited to: your work location, local labour market conditions, external market salary data, internal pay equity and the knowledge, skills, experience and anticipated proficiency in the role. The salary offered is estimated to be within the following range: $52,000- $56,000. Candidates with salary expectations outside of the range are still encouraged to apply.

Job Overview

The Bilingual Life Services Representative supports Wawanesa’s success by delivering positive and empathetic customer experience to our policyholders and brokers. Working under general supervision, you’ll respond to policy inquiries, support client retention, and process changes to policies with care and accuracy.

Job Responsibilities

Serve as a primary point of contact for Life Services operations.
Handle incoming client and agent calls in a call-center environment.
Respond to customer inquiries within established service standards.
Prepare clear and professional correspondence for clients, agents, and external partners.
Process and coordinate changes to in-force policies.
Accurately document customer interactions, inquiries, and resolutions.
Support document management and departmental filing.
Identify and report system-related service issues.
Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum two (2) years' experience in a call center environment.
Fluency in French and English is required for this role.
Demonstrated excellence in customer service.
Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Strong commitment to confidentiality and privacy.
Clear written and verbal communication skills.
Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively under pressure.
Organized, adaptable, and valuable team contributor.
Willingness to enroll in LOMA Associate Customer Service (ACS) course.
