Job Summary

Join our dedicated team as a Personal Support Worker (PSW), where your compassion and hands-on care will make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals needing assistance with daily activities. In this vital role, you will provide personalized support to seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those experiencing memory challenges such as dementia. Your energy, empathy, and attention to detail will foster a safe, comfortable, and respectful environment for every person you serve. This paid position offers an opportunity to grow your caregiving skills while making a positive impact in the community.

Duties

Assist clients with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support to promote independence and dignity
Medication reminders accurately according to care plans and document all medication activities diligently
Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary
Support clients with mobility and transfers using proper techniques to ensure safety for both the client and yourself
Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance overall well-being and reduce feelings of isolation
Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning client living areas to maintain a safe and hygienic environment
Assist with routine health monitoring, including vital signs checks and reporting any changes or concerns promptly

Experience

Prior assisted living or nursing home experience is highly valued, demonstrating familiarity with senior care routines
Experience working with individuals with disabilities or those experiencing dementia is preferred, showcasing your adaptability and patience
Proven caregiving experience that highlights your ability to provide compassionate support in home or facility settings
Knowledge of medication reminder procedures and safety protocols is advantageous
Strong skills in cleaning, meal preparation, and home care tasks that contribute to a clean, safe, and nurturing environment
