Full job description

Apparel Technician

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

Maintain line plan and strategy up to date via Illustrator boards and follow-up documents in place
Do technical sketches and help with colorations and prints in Illustrator
Create tech packs to ensure each product executes the design vision. Need to be comfortable with Excel.
Help make sure that quality standards and specifications are followed.
Use technical knowledge, to participate in product development and ensure all samples are there on time and correspond to demanded specs and design.
Participate in fittings with the merchandiser/apparel developper.
Review specs and TOP samples measurements when required.
Communicate with overseas makers for follow-ups on development samples and fits as well as production when needed so all is on time and follows our production calendar schedule.
Revise tech packs with updated changes as needed
Prepare new developments for upcoming season
Send packages overseas

REQUIREMENTS

2 to 4 years in similar role
Fashion Design Diploma
Strong understanding of our customer base
Strong communication and organizational skills
Strong knowledge of all sewing finishes, trim and fabric requirements, and construction specifications
Excellent knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
Good knowledge of Office suite: Excel and Word
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Fast learner, motivated, solutions driven, team player

Experience/Qualifications:

Adobe Illustrator: 2 to 4 years (preferred)
Women’s Apparel: 2 to 4 years (preferred)
Building Techpacks: 2 to 4 years (preferred)

Designer technique (Vetements)

TACHES ET RESPONSABILITES

Maintenir le plan de collection et la stratégie etablie à jour, via Illustrator ainsi que les documents de suivi en place.
Faire les dessins techniques et aides à la coloration et development des imprimes dans Illustrator.
Créer les tech packs , et s'assurer que chaque produit represente la vision du design. Besoin d’être à l’aise avec Excel.
Aide à assurer que les normes et les spécifications de qualité etablis sont respectées.
Utilise ses connaissances techniques pour participer au développement du produit et s’assurer que tous les échantillons sont là à temps et correspondent aux spécifications et design requises.
Participer aux essayages avec le merchandiser/développeur categories vêtements.
Passer en revue les specs et les mesures des échantillons TOP, au besoin quand nécessaire.
Communiquer avec les fabricants étrangers pour le suivi des échantillons de développement et des échantillons de fits, ainsi que de la production au besoin, afin que tout soit à temps et correspond avec notre calendrier de production etablie.
Réviser les tech packs pour le suivi des modifications et mises à jour quand nécessaire.
Préparer les nouveaux développements pour la saison à venir.
Envoyer des colis à l’étranger.
Collaborer avec les different departements a l'interne pour assurer le bon fonctionnement des développements en saison.

REQUIS

2 a 4 ans dans un role similaire
Diplome en Mode Feminine requis
Bonne comprehension de notre clientele
Excellente capacites de communication et d'organisation
Bonne connaissance des finition de couture, garnitures et tissus requis, ainsi que la connaissance de la construction du vêtements et cote technique developper
Excellente connaissances de la suite Adobe, incluant Photoshop, Illustrator, et InDesign
Bonne connaissance de la suite Office 360: Excel et Word
Excellente attention au detail et capacite de resolution de probleme
Appends rapidement, motiver, focus sur les solutions et aime le travail en equipe

Experience/Qualifications:
