Responsabilités

Travailler en étroite collaboration avec le directeur créatif, le concepteur d'expérience et l'artiste conceptuel principal afin d’aider à établir la direction créative du projet. Non seulement vous dessinerez et concevrez, mais vous contribuerez à l'histoire et à la direction générale du projet;
Concevoir des concepts artistiques originaux en lien avec la vision créative du projet;
Créer un large éventail de concepts, y compris les environnements, l'architecture, des créatures et des personnages, des véhicules et des accessoires;
Fournir du matériel de référence, des feuilles explicatives, feuilles d'expressions et de poses de personnages, croquis techniques et schémas lorsque nécessaire, afin de clarifier les concepts pour l'équipe de développement;
Créer des concepts qui guideront les équipes de scénographie et d'Ingénierie dans la création des aspects physiques des projets (Chariots, Pointeurs, Décors).

Exigences

Études en arts ;
Minimum de 3 ans d'expérience en art conceptuel pour les jeux vidéo, le cinéma ou l'animation
Compétences en design industriel (designer industriel) souhaitées.
Maîtrise de Photoshop;
Maîtrise du français et de l'anglais ainsi que de bonnes compétences en communication;
Connaissance de la 3D (Blender, Sketch-up, 3DS Max ou Maya), un atout;
Expérience en storyboard, un atout;
Capacité à travailler dans différents styles et thèmes artistiques;
Être capable d'explorer rapidement des idées et être à l'aise avec un processus itératif pour développer un concept final;
Compréhension de la théorie des couleurs et de l’utilisation de la couleur et de la lumière pour créer une ambiance;
Compréhension de l'anatomie ainsi que des bases de l'architecture et de la construction mécanique.
Créer des concepts qui guideront les équipes de scénographie et d’ingénierie dans la réalisation des aspects physiques des projets

Reponsibilities:

Work closely with the creative director, the experience designer, and the lead concept artist to help establish the creative direction of the project. Not only will you draw and design, but you will also contribute to the story and the overall direction of the project;
Design original artistic concepts aligned with the creative vision of the project;
Create a wide range of concepts, including environments, architecture, creatures and characters, vehicles, and props;
Provide reference materials, explanatory sheets, expression and pose sheets for characters, technical sketches, and diagrams when needed to clarify concepts for the development team;
Create concepts that will guide the scenography and engineering teams in the creation of the physical aspects of projects (ride vehicles, pointing systems, sets).

Requirements

Studies in arts;
Minimum of 3 years of experience in concept art for video games, film, or animation;
Industrial design skills (industrial designer) are preferred.
Proficiency in Photoshop;
Fluency in French and English, with good communication skills;
Knowledge of 3D (Blender, SketchUp, 3ds Max, or Maya) is an asset;
Storyboarding experience is an asset;
Ability to work in different artistic styles and themes;
Ability to quickly explore ideas and be comfortable with an iterative process to develop a final concept;
Understanding of color theory and the use of color and light to create mood;
Understanding of anatomy as well as basic architecture and mechanical construction.
