Role: Java Engineer with Azure

Title: AVP/VP

Location: Montreal, QC (Day 1 Onsite/Hybrid) – Fulltime

Mode of Work: 3 days/week onsite required

Required Experience: 6+ years

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java-based applications
Build and deploy cloud-native applications using Microsoft Azure
Develop RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (QA, DevOps, Product)
Participate in code reviews, debugging, and performance optimization
Implement secure, high-performance, and reusable code
Work in Agile/Scrum development environments

Technical Skills:

Strong experience in Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure (App Services, Azure Functions, Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure DevOps, etc.)
Experience with REST APIs, JSON, and API integrations
Strong understanding of cloud concepts and distributed systems
Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes is a plus

Good to Have:

Experience with messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.)
Understanding of security best practices (OAuth2, JWT)
Exposure to monitoring tools and logging frameworks
