Membre clé d’une équipe de développement performante, le/la conseiller(ère) en développement, dons majeurs relève de la directrice des dons majeurs. La personne titulaire de ce poste est chargée de la fidélisation, de la sollicitation et de la gestion d’un portefeuille de donatrices et donateurs qui lui est attribué. Pour ce faire, elle mènera des rencontres individuelles ou en petits groupes, organisera des événements exclusifs, mettra en œuvre des communications stratégiques sur différents canaux et adaptera ses actions de communication de manière personnalisée, dans le but principal de fidéliser ces donatrices et donateurs à notre communauté.

La personne retenue possède une bonne connaissance des principes de collecte de fonds et du développement philanthropique, ainsi qu’une expérience démontrée dans l’acquisition de nouveaux donateurs et nouvelles donatrices et l’augmentation des dons auprès des donatrices et donateurs actifs. Douée d’un esprit d’équipe et bilingue, elle saura gérer de nombreux projets de collecte de fonds dans un environnement dynamique, en constante évolution et réunissant plusieurs parties prenantes. Dotée de solides compétences en développement des affaires et d’une expérience confirmée en gestion des bénévoles, la personne retenue saura mobiliser notre communauté philanthrope pour contribuer au succès du CUSM.

Principales responsabilités

Collecte de fonds – dons majeurs

Gérer et faire croître, seul(e) ou en collaboration avec des collègues, un portefeuille de 120 à 150 donatrices et donateurs importants, en entretenant des relations durables grâce à des stratégies d’engagement personnalisées pour obtenir un soutien philanthropique important pour les priorités du CUSM.
Assurer l’ensemble du cycle des dons majeurs : identification des prospects, élaboration de stratégies, sollicitation et suivi.
Collaborer étroitement avec des médecins, scientifiques, membres de la direction et bénévoles afin d’arrimer les intérêts des donatrices et donateurs avec des projets à fort impact au CUSM.
Travailler en collaboration avec le/la rédacteur(trice) principal(e) pour élaborer des propositions centrées sur les donatrices et donateurs, alignées avec les campagnes de la Fondation, les priorités cliniques et les projets de recherche.
Assurer un suivi rigoureux des interactions et des résultats dans Raiser’s Edge, et contribuer aux prévisions de revenus, aux rapports et à l’amélioration des stratégies de collecte de fonds.
Soutenir les bénévoles en collecte de fonds qui souhaitent mobiliser leur réseau;
Respecter les normes éthiques de l’AFP et d’Imagine Canada;
À noter que ces responsabilités peuvent évoluer selon les besoins de l’organisation.

Qualifications et profil recherché

Expérience en collecte de fonds;
Bonne connaissance des principes et des processus de philanthropie;
Capacité démontrée à obtenir des dons majeurs et des commandites;
Expérience en mobilisation de bénévoles;
Excellentes habiletés relationnelles pour mobiliser et engager les parties prenantes, à l’interne comme à l’externe;
Capacité à développer et entretenir un large réseau de relations et à favoriser la collaboration entre équipes; 
Excellentes aptitudes en résolution de problèmes, sens des affaires, pensée stratégique et jugement;
Diplôme universitaire dans un domaine pertinent ou combinaison équivalente de formation et d’expérience.

An important member in our high-performing team of Development professionals, the Development Officer, Major Gifts will be reporting to the Director of Major Gifts. The Development Officer is responsible for the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of an assigned portfolio of donors through personal and small group personal visits and insider experiences, strategic communications through all mediums, and personalization of outreach with the primary goals of retaining these donors in our community.

The incumbent will have good knowledge of fundraising principles and donor development processes with expertise and success in securing new donors and new donations from existing donors. A collaborative bilingual team player, they will have experience in managing numerous fundraising priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic and multi-stakeholder environment. With strong business development and a proven-track in volunteer management, the Development Officer will bring engage our community of major donors in the success of the MUHC.

Key Areas of Responsibility

Manage and grow a portfolio of 120-150 major gift donors individually or with colleagues, cultivating long-term relationships through personalized engagement strategies to secure significant philanthropic support for MUHC priorities.
Lead all stages of the major gift cycle, including prospect research, strategy development, solicitation, and stewardship.
Collaborate closely with physicians, researchers, senior leadership, and volunteers to match donor interests with high-impact funding opportunities across the MUHC.
Collaborate with the senior writer to develop donor-centered proposals aligned with the Foundation’s fundraising campaigns, clinical priorities, and research initiatives.
Track donor activity and outcomes accurately, maintaining detailed records in Raiser's Edge and contributing to revenue forecasting, reporting, and fundraising strategy refinement.
Assist fundraising volunteers wishing to mobilize their networks;
Adhere to the AFP and Imagine Canada code of ethical standards

Qualifications and Characteristics:

Experience in fundraising;
Knowledge of fundraising principles and processes;
Demonstrated ability and success in securing major gifts and sponsorships;
Experience in motivating volunteers;
Superior interpersonal skills to motivate and engage stakeholders both internally and externally;
Ability to connect and maintain a broad range of relationships and to inspire staff and colleagues to work collaboratively in achieving goals;
Excellent problem-solving skills, business acumen, strategic aptitude, and sound judgment;
University Diploma in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of work experience and education.
