Project Data Management Coordinator – Document Control

Montreal, QC | Hybrid – 4 Days On-Site / 1 Day Remote

9-Month Contract | Renewable | 40 Hours/Week

$60–$70 CAD/Hour T4

**Fluent French and English Required**

Our client is seeking an experienced Project Data Management Coordinator / Document Controller to support major engineering and construction projects in Montreal.

This is an excellent opportunity for a bilingual English/French Document Control professional who has experience working on large-scale projects and is comfortable coordinating with contractors, engineering teams, suppliers, and project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Manage document control activities throughout the project lifecycle, from project setup through handover and close-out.

Review and perform quality control of project deliverables from contractors and engineering service providers.

Track outstanding deliverables, RFIs, and documentation.

Coordinate with contractors and project stakeholders to ensure timely submissions.

Support project setup, handover, and close-out activities.

Provide training and technical support on Document Control processes and systems.

Onboard, coach, and support Document Controllers.

Produce weekly expediting reports and project documentation reports.

Maintain distribution matrices and project records.

Qualification Criteria:

5+ years of Document Control experience, ideally on large engineering or construction projects.

Fluent English and French – written and verbal.

Experience working with engineering drawings and technical documentation.

Experience establishing and managing Document Control systems and processes.

Experience supporting projects through setup, execution, handover, and close-out.

Experience working with contractors, suppliers, vendors, and project teams.

Previous experience coordinating or leading a small-to-medium Document Control team.

Strong communication, organization, follow-up, and stakeholder management skills.

Assertive, collaborative, and solutions-oriented approach.

Ability to work in a fast-paced project environment.

Preferred Experience:

InEight Document

SharePoint

Microsoft Office

Engineering/construction project experience

Experience supporting projects on site

Spanish is an asset
