Are you looking to work with children with higher needs? Receive support from ABA with Kids to prepare you in providing in-home ABA/ IBI services. You will gain knowledge on the theory of ABA and be able to practice your honed skills before working with families as a behaviour therapist.
ABA with Kids provides one-on-one services to children between 3-10 years of age, primarily diagnosed with autism. If you have a passion working with children with special/ higher needs, let's work together to make a change in their day to day life. Our goal is to have an impact on the child’s development. At ABA with Kids we believe it is a cooperative effort between the child, the family, and the therapists.
Therapists will be observed to ensure the implementation of programs and behaviour plans is showing procedural integrity. The therapist may be expected to be available one hour a month to attend a client meeting. The therapist will be responsible for bringing toys or conducting developmentally-age appropriate activities.
The behaviour therapist will be reporting to their supervisor, included but not limited to the Lead Therapist, Clinical Supervisor, and/or Clinical Director. Additionally the behaviour therapist is responsible for working collaboratively with other professionals to support the quality and clinical outcomes to provide efficient and effective provision of supports and services for persons diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder or other diagnosis and their families.
Other responsibilities may include:
-Oversight from the Clinical Supervisor and/or Clinical Director to provide direct support through evidence-based approaches for persons diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder or other diagnosis. This may be individually or in group settings
-Daily data collection, tracking, analysis, which may include summarizing information and supporting the preparation of reports.
-Participate in intervention planning including conducting skill based assessments, curriculum assessments and functional behaviour assessments with the supervisor of the Clinical Supervisor and support of the Lead Therapist.
-Participates in clinical supervision meetings, team meetings etc.
Sessions range between 2-3 hours.
