Job Description:

You are a creative individual with advanced woodworking skills and experience. As a member of a team of artisans, your main responsibility will be to work closely with the product manager and your peers to make high-quality custom-made furniture as well as prototypes and innovative designs. You will be building frames for upholstered furniture (for which training can be provided) as well as fine cabinetry. As a woodworker, you are detail oriented and you produce high-quality work consistently. You also take a great deal of pride in your work and enjoy the challenge of learning new skills and of working with others.

Skills and Responsibilities:

Interpreting the designer’s sketches and plans, and preparing specifications of articles to be made;
Operating woodworking machines and using hand tools to cut, shape and form parts and components out of both plywood and hardwood;
Trimming joints and fitting parts and subassemblies together to form complete units;
Sanding wooden surfaces and applying veneer, stain or polish to finished products;
Repairing or restyling wooden furniture, fixtures, and related products.

Experience Required:

A minimum of 5 years of woodworking/cabinetry experience.

Salary Range:

28$-35$/hour (depending on experience).

With focus on design, interiors, furniture and objects, we create goods from conceptual ideas to finished product or interior spaces. We offer customization of some of our products, and we are also collaborating with designers in creating new pieces on special requests or projects. All of our products are manufactured in our studio in Montreal.

Description du Poste:

Vous êtes un individu créatif d’expérience avec des habilités d’ébénisterie avancées. Comme membre d’une équipe d’artisans, votre responsabilité principale est de travailler de près avec le/la chef de produit et vos pairs pour fabriquer des meubles de haute qualité fabriqués sur-mesure ainsi que des prototypes et nouveaux designs. Vous produirez des cadres pour des meubles rembourrés (pour quoi une formation sera fournie si nécessaire) ainsi que des meubles en bois de haute qualité. En tant qu’ébéniste, vous portez une attention particulière aux détails et vous produisez un travail de haute qualité de façon constante. Vous êtes fier/fière du travail que vous faites et vous appréciez le défi d’apprendre de nouvelles compétences et de travailler en équipe.

Compétences et Responsabilités:

Interpréter les croquis et plans du/de la designer et préparer les spécifications techniques des articles à produire;
Opérer de la machinerie d’ébénisterie et des outils manuels pour couper, façonner et former des pièces et composantes à partir de contre-plaqué et de bois dur;
Raboter les joints, assembler les pièces et les assemblages partiels de façon à constituer un meuble;
Sabler les surfaces en bois et appliquer aux articles finis un revêtement, une teinture ou un poli;
Réparer ou remodeler des meubles ou des accessoires en bois et des articles connexes.

Expérience Requise:

Échelle Salariale:

28$-35$/heure (en fonction de l’expérience).
