Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Commis au comptoir, where your energy and passion for food service will shine! In this lively role, you will be the friendly face at the counter, delivering exceptional customer experiences while efficiently handling food preparation, cashiering, and food safety responsibilities. Duties

Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately using Micros POS (Point of Sale) systems, ensuring smooth transactions and efficient service
Prepare and assemble food items according to established recipes and safety standards, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation throughout the process
Handle cash transactions with precision, including cash handling and cashiering duties, while providing excellent customer service
Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities through friendly suggestions
Maintain food safety standards by adhering to proper food handling procedures and sanitation protocols in accordance with health regulations
Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service and minimize wait times for customers
Assist in kitchen operations when needed, supporting overall food preparation and ensuring quality presentation

Requirements

Previous food service experience or restaurant background is preferred; familiarity with the food industry is a plus
Experience with POS systems, especially Micros POS or similar platforms, is highly desirable
Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and excellent communication abilities
Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and processing transactions accurately
Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper food handling techniques
Ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Kitchen experience or food preparation skills are advantageous but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
Enthusiasm for upselling menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and sales performance
