Full job description

RYU Griffintown is looking for a cook / dishwasher to join our kitchen team. We are a high-end sushi restaurant in Griffintown with a small, tight kitchen where everyone pulls their weight.

The role

Prep and mise en place: washing, peeling, portioning, sauces
Working the hot station during service, plating to standard and keeping up with ticket times
Dishwashing and keeping the plonge station clean and organized
Receiving and putting away deliveries
Closing duties and end-of-night kitchen cleaning
Following food safety and sanitation standards (MAPAQ)

Schedule and pay

$50,000-$55,000 Yearly Salary
6 shifts per week, Tuesday to Sunday

What we are looking for

Reliable and on time, every shift
Able to work fast and stay clean under pressure
Comfortable standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs
Previous kitchen experience is an asset. We will train the right person on our menu and equipment.
Basic French or English

Le poste

Préparation et mise en place : lavage, épluchage, portionnement, sauces
Travail au poste chaud pendant le service, dressage selon les standards et respect des temps de service
Plonge et entretien d'un poste propre et bien organisé
Réception et rangement des livraisons
Tâches de fermeture et nettoyage de la cuisine en fin de soirée

Horaire et salaire

50,000$-55,000$ Année
6 quarts de travail par semaine, du mardi au dimanche en soirée

Profil recherché

Fiable et ponctuel, à chaque quart
Capable de travailler rapidement et de garder son poste propre sous pression
À l'aise de rester debout longtemps et de soulever jusqu'à 50 lb
Expérience en cuisine un atout. Nous formons la bonne personne sur notre menu et nos équipements.
Français ou anglais de base
