Full job description

DLC Landscape Services is a growing organization focused on delivering high-quality Design-Build projects. We are looking for a highly organized, analytical, and proactive professional to help bring structure, visibility, and accountability to our growing Design-Build department.

About the Role

As the Manager, Design-Build Business Operations, you will work at the intersection of Sales, Operations, Accounting, and Leadership. You will oversee key business processes, improve systems and workflows, monitor performance, and ensure projects move smoothly from initial opportunity through contracting, production, invoicing, and closeout.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and maintain the Design-Build sales pipeline and ensure information is accurate and current.
Monitor opportunities, proposals, follow-ups, sales stages, and expected close dates.
Develop and track KPIs, dashboards, sales forecasts, and department performance reports.
Coordinate regular pipeline and performance reviews.
Ensure sold projects have completed contracts, deposits, documentation, and internal requirements before handoff.
Support smooth handoffs between Sales, Operations, Accounting, and Administration.
Monitor project setup, billing readiness, deposits, change orders, invoicing, and project closeout.
Maintain visibility into project backlog and upcoming workload.
Identify gaps, delays, risks, and opportunities for process improvement.
Develop, document, and improve procedures and SOPs.
Improve data integrity and adoption of CRM and operational systems, including Aspire.
Create reports and tools that improve visibility, accountability, and decision-making.
Follow up on outstanding items and hold team members accountable for deadlines and required processes.
Communicate and coordinate effectively with internal teams, clients, municipal representatives, and other stakeholders.
Provide leadership with accurate, timely, and actionable information on department performance.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in business operations, sales operations, commercial operations, project controls, construction administration, or a related field.
Experience managing complex workflows involving multiple departments or stakeholders.
Strong experience developing KPIs, dashboards, and management reporting.
Advanced Excel and/or Google Sheets skills.
Experience with CRM, ERP, or project-management software.
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and proactively follow through on outstanding items.
Strong communication skills and the confidence to hold others accountable professionally.
Experience in landscaping, construction, engineering, architecture, property development, or another project-based industry is an asset.
Experience working with senior leadership is an asset.
Bilingual French and English is a strong asset.

À titre de Gestionnaire, opérations d’affaires – Conception-construction, vous travaillerez au cœur des équipes des ventes, des opérations, de la comptabilité et de la direction. Vous superviserez les principaux processus d’affaires, améliorerez les systèmes et les méthodes de travail, suivrez la performance et veillerez au bon déroulement des projets, de la première opportunité jusqu’à la facturation et à la clôture.

Principales responsabilités

Gérer et maintenir le pipeline de ventes du département de conception-construction.
Assurer l’exactitude des opportunités, propositions, suivis, étapes de vente et dates de conclusion prévues.
Développer et suivre les KPI, tableaux de bord, prévisions de ventes et rapports de performance.
Coordonner les rencontres régulières de suivi du pipeline et de la performance.
Veiller à ce que les contrats, dépôts, documents et exigences internes soient complétés avant le transfert des projets vendus.
Assurer une transition efficace entre les ventes, les opérations, la comptabilité et l’administration.
Suivre la mise en place des projets, la préparation à la facturation, les dépôts, les changements, la facturation et la clôture des projets.
Maintenir une visibilité sur le carnet de commandes et la charge de travail à venir.
Identifier les lacunes, retards, risques et occasions d’amélioration.
Développer, documenter et améliorer les procédures et processus opérationnels.
Améliorer la qualité des données et l’utilisation des systèmes CRM et opérationnels, incluant Aspire.
Créer des rapports et outils favorisant la visibilité, la responsabilisation et la prise de décision.
Assurer les suivis nécessaires et responsabiliser les membres de l’équipe quant aux échéances et processus.
Communiquer et coordonner efficacement avec les équipes internes, les clients, les représentants municipaux et les autres intervenants.
Fournir à la direction des informations fiables, claires et pertinentes sur la performance du département.

Qualifications

Minimum de 5 ans d’expérience en opérations d’affaires, opérations des ventes, opérations commerciales, contrôle de projets, administration de la construction ou dans un domaine connexe.
Expérience dans la gestion de processus complexes impliquant plusieurs départements ou intervenants.
Expérience dans le développement de KPI, tableaux de bord et rapports de gestion.
Excellente maîtrise d’Excel et/ou Google Sheets.
Expérience avec des logiciels CRM, ERP ou de gestion de projets.
Excellentes capacités d’organisation, d’analyse et de résolution de problèmes, avec une grande attention aux détails.
Capacité à gérer plusieurs priorités et à assurer un suivi proactif.
Solides compétences en communication et capacité à responsabiliser les autres de façon professionnelle.
Une expérience dans l’aménagement paysager, la construction, l’ingénierie, l’architecture, le développement immobilier ou une industrie axée sur les projets constitue un atout.
Une expérience de travail avec la haute direction constitue un atout.
Le bilinguisme français-anglais constitue un atout important.
