Full job description

At Field Trip Health, we’re transforming mental health care by combining psychedelic medicine, modern psychiatry, and compassionate human connection. With clinics across Canada, we’ve helped thousands of people find hope, healing, and lasting change.

We are seeking experienced, trauma-informed clinicians to work with the most complex and high-trauma cases within the clinic, including individuals with PTSD, developmental trauma, and treatment-resistant presentations.

This is not a generalist therapy role. You will be working with clients who have often:

Tried multiple medications and therapy modalities.
Experienced limited or no sustained improvement.
Require a more structured and intensive therapeutic approach.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Work with high-acuity, trauma-heavy client populations.
Conduct structured clinical assessments to guide treatment planning within a
multidisciplinary model.
Provide crisis support and clinical judgment in complex situations.
Support clients through post-program maintenance psychotherapy where appropriate.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation (JaneApp EMR).
Collaborate closely with medical staff (NPs/MDs) on client care.
Participate in peer consultation and case discussions.

WHAT MAKES THIS ROLE DIFFERENT:

QUALIFICATIONS:

Master’s degree in social work, Psychotherapy, or Counselling is considered a strong asset
Minimum 5+ years experience (10+ preferred)
Demonstrated experience working with trauma and complex cases
Strong clinical judgment and comfort managing high-acuity clients
Interest in structured, non-traditional therapy models
Preferred candidates have experience with psychedelic‑assisted modalities (ketamine, psilocybin, holotropic breathwork) and other approaches that facilitate safe exploration of altered states of consciousness.

Nous recherchons des cliniciens expérimentés et informés en matière de traumatismes pour travailler avec les cas les plus complexes et les plus marqués par le trauma au sein de la clinique, incluant des personnes souffrant de TSPT, de traumatismes développementaux et de présentations résistantes aux traitements.

Il ne s’agit pas d’un rôle de thérapie généraliste. Vous travaillerez avec des clients qui ont souvent :

Essayé plusieurs médicaments et approches thérapeutiques
Connu peu ou pas d’amélioration durable
Besoin d’une approche thérapeutique plus structurée et intensive

RESPONSABILITÉS PRINCIPALES

Travailler avec une clientèle présentant un niveau élevé d’acuité clinique et des traumatismes complexes
Effectuer des évaluations cliniques structurées afin d’orienter la planification des traitements dans un modèle multidisciplinaire
Fournir un soutien en situation de crise et exercer un jugement clinique dans des situations complexes
Accompagner les clients dans une psychothérapie de maintien après programme, lorsque approprié
Maintenir une documentation clinique précise et à jour (dossier médical électronique JaneApp)
Collaborer étroitement avec l’équipe médicale (IPS / médecins) pour les soins aux clients
Participer aux consultations entre pairs et aux discussions de cas

QUALIFICATIONS

Maîtrise en travail social, en psychothérapie ou en counseling considérée comme un atout important
Minimum 5 ans d’expérience (10 ans ou plus préférés)
Expérience démontrée auprès de clientèles traumatisées et de cas complexes
Solide jugement clinique et aisance à travailler avec des clients à haute acuité
Intérêt pour des modèles thérapeutiques structurés et non traditionnels
Les candidats privilégiés ont de l’expérience avec des modalités assistées par psychédéliques (kétamine, psilocybine, respiration holotropique) ainsi qu’avec d’autres approches facilitant l’exploration sécuritaire des états modifiés de conscience.
