Full job description

Job Description: We are now hiring a Bilingual Purchasing Agent on behalf of our client – a leading manufacturer of commercial and industrial fitness equipment!

Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, this role is responsible for sourcing materials, managing purchase orders, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring timely delivery of goods across multiple warehouses.

The successful candidate brings strong technical aptitude, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.

Job Location: Anjou, Quebec

Job Type: Full-time, permanent.

Compensation: $60,000 annually to start + extended health/dental benefits + paid time off for vacation and personal days + full access to on-site gym facilities & more!

Key Responsibilities:

Forecasting

Develop parts forecasts aligned with sales and financial plans
Provide SKU‑level projections to ensure timely purchasing
Manage inventory across multiple warehouses
Achieve targeted order fulfillment rates

Inventory Management

Analyze weekly inventory availability reports and recommend actions
Communicate stock availability to management
Monitor sales and inventory levels, flagging deviations from forecast
Expedite shortages through air shipments or inter‑division transfers
Set up new materials in SAP following established rules
Maintain material master data, purchasing info records, and source lists
Release daily part orders to the warehouse
Monitor open delivery notes older than 48 hours

Purchasing

Manage all spare parts purchasing for the organization
Issue purchase orders to factories and suppliers
Track shipments and communicate estimated arrival dates
Adjust shipment plans (expedite, delay, cancel) as needed
Support updates to purchasing and standard costs

Reporting

Submit monthly parts quota (by the 3rd of each month)
Submit monthly order fulfillment rate (by the 8th of each month)
Track slow‑moving parts and recommend reduction strategies
Update existing reports and develop new ones

Other

Participate in additional projects as assigned

Requirements/Qualifications:

· Must be bilingual in French and English (written and oral)

· Must have DEC or Post-Secondary Education in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics or a related field

· Must have at least 2-3 years of recent experience within Purchasing, Procurement, or Supply Chain focused roles

· Strong computer proficiency with excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and ERP systems (SAP preferred)

· Excellent organizational and time‑management abilities

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsabilités principales

Prévisions

Élaborer des prévisions de pièces alignées sur les plans de vente et financiers
Fournir des projections par UGS afin d’assurer des achats en temps opportun
Gérer les stocks dans plusieurs entrepôts
Atteindre les taux d’exécution des commandes ciblés

Gestion des stocks

Analyser les rapports hebdomadaires de disponibilité et recommander des actions
Communiquer l’état des stocks à la direction
Surveiller les ventes et niveaux d’inventaire, en signalant les écarts par rapport aux prévisions
Accélérer les commandes en cas de rupture (expéditions aériennes, transferts inter‑unités)
Créer de nouveaux matériaux dans SAP selon les règles établies
Maintenir les données de base des matériaux, les fiches d’information d’achat et les listes de sources
Libérer quotidiennement les commandes de pièces à l’entrepôt
Surveiller les bons de livraison ouverts depuis plus de 48 heures

Achats

Gérer l’ensemble des achats de pièces détachées pour l’organisation
Émettre des bons de commande aux usines et fournisseurs
Suivre les expéditions et communiquer les dates d’arrivée prévues
Ajuster les plans d’expédition (accélérer, retarder, annuler) selon les besoins
Contribuer à la mise à jour des coûts d’achat et des coûts standards

Rapports

Soumettre les quotas de pièces mensuels (avant le 3 de chaque mois)
Soumettre le taux d’exécution des commandes (avant le 8 de chaque mois)
Suivre les pièces à faible rotation et recommander des stratégies de réduction
Mettre à jour les rapports existants et en développer de nouveaux

Exigences / Qualifications

Bilinguisme obligatoire (français et anglais, à l’oral et à l’écrit)
DEC ou formation postsecondaire en gestion de la chaîne d’approvisionnement, administration des affaires, logistique ou domaine connexe
Minimum de 2 à 3 ans d’expérience récente en achats, approvisionnement ou chaîne d’approvisionnement
Excellente maîtrise de Microsoft Office et des systèmes ERP (SAP un atout)
Excellentes compétences organisationnelles et de gestion du temps
Excellentes aptitudes en communication orale et écrite
