About the Role:

As a Home Visitation Worker, you will support parents and caregivers of children aged 0-6 through in-home, virtual, and community-based visits. You’ll help families build resilience, strengthen parenting skills, and connect with vital resources to support child and youth development.

Responsibilities:

Provide supportive counselling, referrals, and resources to caregivers

Conduct intakes, assessments, and case management in alignment with funder mandates

Plan and deliver workshops and services that promote family well-being

Collaborate with community partners and service providers

Maintain accurate data and documentation in program databases

Ensure compliance with YMCA policies, health and safety standards, and child protection protocols

Qualifications:

Degree in Human Services or equivalent experience

Minimum 2 years working with families facing multiple risk factors

Registration with a professional organization (as required by law)

Valid driver’s license, access to a reliable vehicle, and proof of insurance

Certifications: Standard First Aid/CPR-C, Police Intervention Check (Vulnerable Sector), WHMIS; Non-Violent Crisis Intervention and Suicide Intervention (asset)

Strong knowledge of social determinants of health, trauma-informed care, and culturally sensitive practices

Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook
