Full job description

CIMA Enoteca is a busy Italian restaurant specializing in Neapolitan-style pizza, fresh pasta, and regional Italian cuisine. We pride ourselves on being a 100% scratch-made kitchen, crafting everything in-house to deliver authentic, high-quality dining experiences.

We are currently seeking a Junior Sous Chef to join our culinary team.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate is a motivated leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about food, hospitality, and team development.

Qualifications:

3+ years of experience in a high-volume, professional kitchen.
Strong experience working multiple stations, including pasta, grill, garde manger, or pizza.
Experience leading services and supervising kitchen staff.
Familiarity with Italian cuisine and scratch cooking (strong asset).
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
A positive attitude and the ability to lead by example.
Availability to work full-time, including evenings, weekends, Sundays, and Mondays.

What You'll Do

Assist the Chef de Cuisine with the day-to-day operation of the kitchen.
Lead services and ensure dishes are executed consistently to CIMA Enoteca's standards.
Train, mentor, and support line cooks and new team members.
Assist with prep planning, inventory management, ordering, and waste control.
Ensure food safety, cleanliness, and organizational standards are maintained at all times.
Step into any station as needed to support the team and maintain smooth service.
Contribute ideas for menu features, seasonal dishes, and operational improvements.
