Position: Caregiver
Location: Duncan/Chemainus/Ladysmith
Compensation: $21.00 - $22.00 per hour
Shifts: Mornings, Evenings, Nights
Duncan Shifts- Evening Shifts Starting June 1st
- Thursdays & Fridays 4:30 PM to 10:30 PM
Ladysmith Shifts – Night Shifts
- Wednesdays — 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Saturdays — 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
Responsibilities:
- Providing compassionate care to clients in their home setting.
- Assisting with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene
- Medication management.
- Preparing meals and ensuring proper nutrition.
- Assisting with light housekeeping tasks
- Monitoring and reporting changes in clients' health and well-being
- Companionship and engaging in meaningful activities with client.
Requirements:
- A clear criminal background and vulnerable sector check
- Reliable Transportation to work
- Valid completion of OFA First Aid Level 1 course
- Valid competition of FOODSAFE level 1 or equivalent
- Compassionate, reliable, and patient demeanor
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Assets:
- Previous caregiving experience
- Valid certifications or training in caregiving, personal support work, or related fields.
- Valid BC drivers license
