Overview

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Runner/Busser to join our dynamic restaurant team. This role is vital in ensuring a seamless dining experience for our guests by delivering food promptly, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting the service staff. Ideal candidates will have a passion for hospitality, excellent communication skills, and a strong focus on food safety and guest satisfaction. Prior experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not required; training will be provided to the right candidate. This position offers an opportunity to develop valuable skills in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. Ideal hire would be wanting a couple days a week work thru the fall and winter months.

Responsibilities

Deliver prepared food orders from the kitchen to guest tables efficiently and accurately
Assist servers by clearing and resetting tables to ensure a clean and welcoming dining area
Support the kitchen staff with basic food preparation and plating as needed
Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, including wiping down tables, chairs, and floors
Handle food safely and responsibly in accordance with health regulations
Assist with stocking supplies such as utensils, napkins, and condiments throughout the shift
Operate POS systems for order processing if necessary
Communicate effectively with team members to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction
Support bartenders during busy periods as needed
Uphold high standards of hospitality, guest services, and professionalism at all times

Requirements

Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential - be smart & 'quick on your feet' ideal.
Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude - love being in the public / social setting.
Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and interact positively with guests. Honesty and forward thinking ideal.
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting trays.
Experience with food preparation, serving, cashiering, or barista duties is beneficial but not required
Reliable work ethic with attention to detail and cleanliness - honesty and integrity are key.
Flexibility to work during peak hours including weekends or evenings if needed.
