Full job description

Medical Esthetician

Education

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Medical Esthetician diploma or certification from a recognized institution
Valid certifications in laser and advanced aesthetic treatments are considered an asset

Experience

Minimum 2 years of experience as a Medical Esthetician
Experience working in a medical spa, cosmetic clinic, dermatology clinic, or aesthetic practice preferred

Key Responsibilities

Perform advanced aesthetic treatments including:
Laser hair removal
IPL photofacial treatments
RF microneedling treatments
Microneedling procedures
Chemical peels
Medical-grade facials
Skin rejuvenation treatments
Body contouring and skin tightening treatments
Conduct thorough client consultations and skin assessments
Develop personalized treatment plans based on client needs and goals
Educate clients on skincare products, treatment protocols, and post-care instructions
Maintain accurate treatment records and clinical documentation
Schedule and confirm appointments
Process payments and perform cashiering duties
Ensure treatment rooms, devices, and equipment are maintained according to clinic standards
Follow all infection prevention and safety protocols

Technical Skills

Strong knowledge of skin anatomy and skin conditions
Experience operating aesthetic devices and technologies
Proficiency with:
Facials
Chemical peel treatments
Medical-grade skincare products
Ability to recommend appropriate skincare regimens and treatment plans

Work Environment

Medical spa and cosmetic injection clinic
Fast-paced, client-focused environment

Standing for extended periods
Combination of sitting, standing, and walking
Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination

Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining high-quality service

Assets

Experience with Thermage, Ultherapy, M22, IPL, RF Microneedling, Splendor X, CoolSculpting, TriLift, or similar advanced aesthetic technologies
Sales and retail experience in medical-grade skincare products
Fluent in English; Mandarin or Cantonese is an asset
Availability to work weekends
