Full job description

Our client, a well-established structural steel fabrication facility, is looking for a Junior QC/QA Welding Quality Coordinator to support quality control and inspection activities within their manufacturing operation.

This position is well suited for someone with hands-on structural steel fabrication experience who is looking to develop their career in quality assurance and welding coordination.

Qualifications & Experience

Experience working in a structural steel fabrication environment.
Strong ability to interpret steel fabrication drawings and welding symbols.
Good understanding of dimensional tolerances, fit-up, and fabrication processes.
Familiarity with welding inspection and quality control procedures.
Knowledge of CSA W47.1, CSA W59, and ISO quality management systems is an asset.
Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
Ability to work effectively with welders, fabricators, and production personnel.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

Ensure fabricated steel components meet project specifications, customer requirements, company quality standards, and applicable industry codes.
Support quality inspections and verify fabrication accuracy.
Review dimensions, fit-up, weld quality, and overall fabrication requirements.
Maintain accurate quality control and inspection documentation.
Identify non-conformances and assist with corrective actions.
Work alongside senior welders and production staff to maintain consistent product quality.
Support ongoing quality improvement initiatives.

Pay: $22.00-$28.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
