Role Summary

The Accounts Payable/Receivable (A/P, A/R) and Payroll Clerk is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing payroll, and handling accounts payable and receivable functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Process and record accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately and promptly.
Accurately code invoices and record transactions.
Handle expense reports and credit card bills.
Manage semi-monthly payroll processing, including time tracking, deductions, and benefit administration.
Prepare annual T4 statements.
Responsible for benefit and pension administration.
Prepare invoices, track payments, and follow up on outstanding accounts.
Maintain accurate and organized financial records for audits and reporting.
Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures.
Match vendor statements with AP records and investigate discrepancies.
Process the monthly OEM statement.

Qualifications & Competencies

Minimum 3 years of experience in Accounts Payable/Receivable and payroll administration.
Experience with ADP Workforce Now is an asset.
Experience with dealership accounting software (PBS or similar) is an asset.
Prior dealership accounting experience is highly valued.
Familiarity with OEM statement (Nissan, Honda, Ford, Chrysler, etc.) posting is a strong asset.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook.
Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
