SUMMARY

The Sales Manager is ultimately responsible for the cultivation of our valued customers, meeting their expectations and vehicle needs and desires, managing the Sales Consultants who interact with our customers, and ensuring they have the training and tools to provide customer centric servicing, while ascertaining leading edge best practices.

The Sales Manager ensures Terra Nova Mazda (TNM) resources a highly respectable, profitable, effective, well-organized, and forward-thinking Sales Consultant team. He or she is responsible for the Sales Team performance, training, and accountability, which includes meeting agreed upon minimal profitability with each transaction, with proper set-up and introduction to the Business Managers.

Controlling the TNM customer interaction, activity, transaction opportunity and closure process through the strength of our marketing efforts, all the way through the performance of each Sales Consultant is paramount to ensure all sales opportunities are maximized.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensuring all Customers are treated with ultimate respect, in a timely and engaging manner, with each “touch” point.
Utilize CRM tools for tracking leads and sales activities & analyzing data to complete the sales process.
Effective management of all sales leads (including conventional phone, walk-in, and digital leads), with close attention to all types of virtual/digital leads such as Email, website, trade-in, and credit applications.
Sales Team recruitment, training, performance, and adherence to both TNM and Mazda policies, rules, and regulations
Coaching, mentoring, and motivating the entire Sales Staff to maximize performance.
Sales Team 100% adherence, utilization, and effective management of TNM CRM system(s)
Engaging with Sales Consultants to find the preferred vehicle, close deals, maximize profits, and appraise potential trade-ins as necessary.
Inventory optimization through Dealer Trades
Maintaining Showroom Appearance.
Management of and maximization of Terra Nova Mazda Lease portfolio
Monitoring CSI, taking necessary steps to surpass minimum standards, ensuring TNM is highly ranked by both our customers.
Management of Sales Related Learning Management training.
Energy, focus and commitment to meeting the dealerships goals and standards.
Sincere commitment to helping others, including customers and fellow staff members.
Ensuring the all customers are set up on the my Mazda App.

Preferred Skills and Competencies

Post-secondary education as evidenced by Degree or Diploma, with training and graduation from Automotive College being preferential.
Previous Sales Department management experience
Broad knowledge of all types of vehicles
