Sister Homes Vacation Properties has expanded with a new Food & Beverage concepts unique to the Port Rexton-Trinity East, Newfoundland area, Brightside Bistro. The experience brings people together through delicious, locally sourced food and hand crafted, top quality beverages in an environment that is lively, welcoming and picturesque.

Consider joining our team as a Chef, Line Cook or Kitchen Hand and participate in culinary operations as we enter our fourth season.

You must bring a high standard of culinary execution while ensuring effective controls are followed to maintain operational budgets. You will be expected to work with our team in a way that reflects our unique approach while consistently delivering a high level of food experiences.

This is a full-time, seasonal position that offers season-end bonus. The role is ideal for the chef seeking to fine tune their craft early in their career through culinary innovation and leadership.

Responsibilities

Dedication to Culinary Excellence: Consistently ensure exceptional food experiences
Business Acumen: Use business literacy skills to make decisions that lead to successful operations.
Proactive Planning: Manage inventory levels for operational supplies.
Ongoing Menu Development: Ensure the culinary offerings are current and competitive while staying true to the vision.
Genuine Passion: Real desire to curate special food experiences. Encourage and instill this passion throughout the team.
Communication: Provide clean, open, and consistent communication with stakeholders

Experience | Skills | Requirements

Proven experience as a culinary innovator
Must have a strong business acumen with a strong understanding of the business model, the ability to read and measure key metrics and to make decisions that lead to a successful business
Be able to coach and execute service with a high degree of culinary skill
Culinary Diploma or similar along with relevant Food Safety certifications
Ability to work flexible hours including mornings, days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays based on business needs

Trinity Bight, Newfoundland (Bonavista Peninsula, 2.5 hour drive from St. John’s) : Plan to relocate before starting work (required)
