Killam Apartment REIT, based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, is one of Canada's largest residential real estate investment trusts, owning, operating, and developing a $5.3 billion portfolio of apartments and manufactured home communities. We are looking for an energetic, detail-oriented Property Administrator to join our office team in St. John’s, NL.
What you will do:
- Maintain files, produce correspondence, and monitor special projects;
- Provide general administrative support and coverage for reception duties: greet tenants, answer phones and redirect calls;
- Collect outstanding rent;
- Issue purchase orders, create work orders, and close when complete;
- Ensure tenant files are kept up to date;
- Assist with preparing monthly reports;
- Other administrative reports and duties as assigned.
Who you are:
- 2-4 years’ experience in a similar role;
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills;
- Strong computer skills including experience with Microsoft Word & Excel. Familiarity with Yardi software is considered an asset;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Previous customer service, accounting and/or collections experience is considered an asset;
- Experience in the property management industry is preferable.
