Full job description

Great Canadian Dollar Store is looking to hire an Assistant Manager for our store in Arnold’s Cove, Newfoundland. We are a privately owned, 100% Canadian company with over 120 retail stores nationwide. If you are responsible, reliable, are a good communicator and enjoy working within a team, we’d love to hear from you! This is a full-time position with group benefits including paid vacation.

How You Will Make a Difference:

· Assist the manager in the day-to-day operation of the store.

· Monitor employee performance and providing coaching when needed.

· Receive, place, and price orders.

· Work cash, stock shelves, unload trucks, and merchandise product.

· Delegate workloads, prepare and communicate To-Do lists for staff covering both the morning and evening shifts.

· Perform the duties of the manager when not available, e.g. vacations.

· Other duties as assigned.

Ideally You Have:

· Very good communication skills.

· Enjoying working with a team.

· Minimum high school education.

· A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.

· Able to work two evening shifts per week and three day shifts.

· A positive attitude with a passion for excellence in customer service.

· Organized, efficient, and always looking for ways to improve.

Ability to commute/relocate:

Arnold's Cove, NL: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

This is a very physical job that requires you to be on your feet for the duration of your shift. Is there any reason why you would not be able to do so?
