Full job description

Role Overview: Support daily after school programming, supervise children, lead activities and provide homework assistance to children ages 4-12.

Required Qualifications:

Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Screening
Valid First Aid & CPR Certification
Experience working with children
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to assist students with K-6 homework.

Preferred Qualifications:

Post-secondary education completed or in progress
Post-secondary interest or focus in: Education, Physical Education, Child & Youth Care, Social Work, French, or related field.

Assets:

French Immersion background or fluency
Experience in camps, recreation or other child care settings
Experience supporting diverse learning needs
Sports, arts, music, STEM skills and interest

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise children
Organize and help lead games and activities
Support homework completion
Promote a positive and inclusive environment
Communicate with team members and families
