About the Role

C WHY Legal Professional Corporation is looking for a friendly, organized, and dependable Legal Assistant to join our team.

This role is a good fit for someone who enjoys helping people, communicates clearly, and takes pride in keeping things organized. You will often be the first person clients speak with, so professionalism, patience, and a warm attitude are important.

The position is hybrid, with some flexibility to work from home. Because the role involves client calls, emails, and scheduling, the successful candidate must be punctual, responsive, and available during agreed working hours.

What You’ll Do

Answer and return client calls and emails professionally
Schedule client meetings, consultations, court dates, and internal appointments
Maintain lawyers’ calendars and send reminders
Welcome clients and help direct their questions to the right team member
Open and organize client files
Prepare and format correspondence and basic legal documents
Assist with document filing, scanning, printing, and PDF editing
Track tasks, appointments, deadlines, and follow-ups
Communicate with courts, opposing offices, process servers, and other parties
Support lawyers and law clerks with daily administrative tasks
Keep client information and firm matters confidential

What We’re Looking For

Strong written and verbal English communication
Reliable, punctual, and accountable
Friendly and professional when speaking with clients
Organized and comfortable managing multiple tasks
Careful with details and follow-ups
Comfortable using Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PDF software, and cloud-based systems
Able to learn new software and AI tools
Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
Previous experience in a law office, professional office, or client-service role is an asset
Legal Assistant diploma or related education is an asset, but not required
