About Us

Regen Resource Recovery is committed to material and mineral recovery and regeneration, beginning with its inaugural site remediation project in Welland. The company’s unparalleled team of industry experts and environmental engineers are dedicated to recycling important materials.

About the Position

This position will support Regen's Welland Operations. Our Welland Operations have experienced significant growth in the last 12 months and we are looking for a individual who will help us to continue our growth into the future.

The Accounts Payable Accountant is responsible for managing the financial records relating to purchases and accounts payable, performing account reconciliations of liability accounts, and preparing cost reports for the Welland Operations Controller. This is a vital role within the organization as cost efficiency is a key metric for Regen.

In this role, you will be assisting the controller as needed and dealing with other members of the management team to respond to requests for information.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Receiving, processing, verifying and reconciling supplier invoices
Manage supplier invoices approval process and payments
Oversee the purchase order process for operations and projects
Reconcile accounts payable and liability accounts
Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data
Maintain accurate records of financial transactions
Collaborating with internal departments to gather, analyze and interpret financial data
Comply with company financial policies and operational procedures

Requirements and skills:

Bachelor's degree in Business or Accounting/Finance or relevant degree required
Proven experience working as a General Accountant or Accounts Payable Specialist
Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Hands-on experience with Jonas Construction applications an asset but not required
Advanced MS Excel skills including analytical functions required
Detail oriented with a high level of accuracy in data entry
Ability to communicate in a timely basis and follow up independently on any work delegated to others
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
Additional certification or working towards (eg. CPA or specialist) is a plus but not required

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
