Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and energetic Ice Cream Server to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, assist with food preparation, and ensure a clean and welcoming environment for all guests. This role is perfect for individuals passionate about the food industry, with a focus on the dessert experience, and who enjoy engaging with customers in a fast-paced setting.

Duties

Serve ice cream and other menu items efficiently and accurately to customers
Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and cash handling
Handle cash transactions accurately and provide correct change
Assist with food preparation, including scooping, topping, and packaging ice cream products
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in food prep and serving areas
Upsell additional menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales
Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service
Follow food safety guidelines and proper sanitation procedures at all times
Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest questions and ensuring satisfaction
Restock supplies as needed to maintain smooth operations

Skills

Experience in food service or restaurant environments preferred
Knowledge of POS systems, especially Micros POS, for efficient cashiering
Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
Ability to handle food safely and maintain sanitation standards
Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
Effective time management to handle multiple orders during peak hours
Food preparation skills specific to the food industry, especially desserts or ice cream serving
Experience in upselling menu items to maximize sales opportunities
Kitchen experience or food handling background is a plus but not required
Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude toward teamwork

Pay: $17.00-$17.25 per hour
