Title: Clinical Nurse Specialist. Clinical Informatics
Salary: $107,671 - $134,889 per year (pay range explained below)
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 37.5 hours/week (core hours 9am-3pm Mon-Fri)
Location: (Hybrid/Remote)- Park Royal - Metro Vancouver, located on the unceded and ancestral territory of the x?m??k??y??m (Musqueam), S?wx_wú7mesh (Squamish), and s?lilw?ta? (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. Hybrid/Remote (Hybrid working is an option in line with FNHA’s flex work policy, Remote working anywhere in B.C.).

About the role
The Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) in Clinical Informatics uses advanced nursing and informatics expertise to design, implement, and improve clinical information systems for First Nations clients in BC. The role promotes client safety, data governance, and culturally appropriate, efficient workflows by translating clinical needs into digital solutions, supporting change management, and improving data quality and interoperability. It also provides consultation, education, and leadership, and drives evidence-based, digitally enabled practice improvements across FNHA and partner organizations.

About you
To be successful in this role you will have:
Education & Occupational Certification, Experience

Undergraduate degree in Nursing and master’s degree from a recognized university with demonstrable relevance to Clinical Informatics.
Current practicing registration as a Nursing Professional with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives.
Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a health care environment, including extensive experience with related computer technology, clinical informatics, clinical change management, and project leadership.

Knowledge and Ability

Demonstrated knowledge of First Nations cultural ways of being and doing, and a mandatory commitment to antiracist, culturally safer practice, recognizing cultural identity as fundamental to individual and community health and wellbeing when working within First Nations health spaces.
Ability to work collaboratively with groups using consensus based decision making models to identify and address informatics issues, and propose solutions respectfully.
Knowledge of health information governance, privacy, and security requirements, including First Nations data governance principles and FNHA policies and frameworks.
Ability to support and advise on ethical, culturally appropriate collection, use, and sharing of clinical data in alignment with FNHA policy, frameworks and applicable legislation.
