Faculty/School: School of Biological Sciences & Applied Chemistry
Program/Courses: Pharmaceutical Regulatory Affairs & Quality Operations
Campus: Seneca @York
This program focuses on applied pharmaceutical regulatory and quality practices, including product development, global regulatory frameworks, compliance, and quality assurance systems within the life sciences sector. Students develop industry-aligned competencies to support safe, effective, and compliant pharmaceutical products in domestic and international markets.

We welcome applications for part-time teaching opportunities. Course assignments are based on scheduling and instructional needs. Contract faculty typically teach up to 6 hours per week. While some courses may be offered online or in a hybrid format, availability for on-campus teaching is often preferred. Responsible for providing academic leadership in the classroom and ensuring an effective and compelling learning environment for students. You will…

Ensure student awareness of course objectives, instructional approaches, and evaluation methods
Deliver scheduled instruction, including lectures, labs, and applied learning activities
Provide academic support, mentorship, and guidance to students
Integrate real-world clinical research practices into teaching and learning
Evaluate student performance and assume responsibility for assessment within assigned courses

What You Bring to Seneca

Education

Completion of post-secondary education in a relevant scientific field is required; a Master’s degree or post-graduate certificate in regulatory affairs or a related discipline is preferred

Experience

Minimum three (3) years of recent industry experience in pharmaceutical regulatory affairs, product development, or quality operations
Demonstrated post-secondary teaching experience and/or experience delivering training in an industry setting is preferred
Practical experience in areas such as product formulation, regulatory submissions, quality systems, or compliance
Experience mentoring or training students or early-career professionals is an asset

Skills

Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical regulatory frameworks and global harmonization practices (e.g., ICH, FDA, Health Canada)
Expertise in quality assurance, compliance, and pharmaceutical development processes
Ability to connect theory to applied industry practice
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills related to regulatory and quality environments
Demonstrated excellence in communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Commitment to collaborative teamwork and student success
Industry connections and relevant professional certifications are considered assets
