Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Waste Collector to join our waste management team. This role involves collecting and transporting waste from residential, commercial areas to designated disposal sites.
Duties
- Safely operate garbage trucks according to traffic laws and company policies
- Collect waste from designated bins at various locations
- Ensure proper loading and securement of waste to prevent spillage during transit
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues promptly
- Maintain accurate records of collections and route completion
- Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or injuries
- Assist with the maintenance and cleaning of vehicles as needed
Requirements
- Ability to perform heavy lifting regularly throughout the workday (50–75 pounds)
- Valid full G driver’s license with a clean driving record
- At least 2 years minimum experience driving a heavy vehicle
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow directions accurately
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic are essential
- Prior experience in waste collection is a plus but not mandatory

Pay: $24.00-$30.00 per hour
