Full job description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Property Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting experience in the property management industry, with hands-on experience using Yardi and/or QuickBooks. This role will be responsible for full-cycle property accounting, financial reporting, reconciliations, and supporting management with accurate and timely financial information. Mandarin language skills are considered a strong asset.

Key Responsibilities Manage full-cycle accounting for assigned commercial and/or residential properties Prepare monthly financial statements, variance analysis, and management reports Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and journal entries

Review rent rolls, tenant ledgers, CAM charges, property expenses, and other property-related transactions

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing schedules

Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies

Coordinate with property managers, tenants, vendors, and external accountants/auditors Support annual audit, tax filing, and financial review processes

Ensure accounting records are accurate, complete, and compliant with company policies Improve accounting processes and internal controls where needed

Qualifications 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in property management, real estate, or asset management

Strong knowledge of property accounting, general ledger, reconciliations, and financial reporting Experience with Yardi is strongly preferred Experience with QuickBooks is an asset

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple properties, deadlines, and priorities

Good communication skills and ability to work with both finance and operations teams Mandarin ability is strongly preferred

CPA designation or CPA enrollment is an asset but not required

Compensation Base salary: CAD$80,000 – $90,000 per year

Pay: $80,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
