Please note: As part of this role, you will participate in an on-call rotation (approximately one week every six weeks) to provide after-hours support using a ministry-issued phone. This support is provided remotely (e.g., from home), and does not require onsite attendance after hours.

- Lead daily health service operations by coordinating nursing, medical, and allied health activities within a secure correctional environment.
- Provide supportive, people-centered leadership through recruitment, onboarding, mentoring, coaching, and ensuring staff feel capable, equipped, and confident in their roles.
- Manage HR and labour relations functions including scheduling, performance management, training needs, attendance support, and adherence to collective agreements.
- Oversee quality and safety standards by monitoring trends, evaluating service delivery, and ensuring compliance with legislation, policies, and professional practice requirements.
- Coordinate resources and external services to support effective health care delivery
- Maintain secure and efficient operations by ensuring proper handling of medications, records, equipment, and participating in risk management and problem-solving activities.

- You are currently registered as a Registered Nurse in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.

- Managing People Effectively: You handle scheduling, attendance, and performance matters with fairness and consistency.
- Driving Improvement: You identify gaps and support practical changes that improve service quality and team effectiveness.
- Ensuring Professional Standards: You ensure care aligns with CNO standards, legislation, and privacy requirements.
- Supporting Clinical Decisions: You guide and empower staff in assessment, triage, and care decisions to support safe outcomes.
- Applying Legislation and Policy: You apply health-related legislation and policies to guide safe and compliant care.
- Coordinating Operations: You use systems and processes to manage staffing, resources, and daily service delivery.
- Coordinating Care: You work with multidisciplinary teams both at the facility and across the province to support consistent and coordinated patient care.
- Providing Clear Direction: You communicate expectations clearly so staff understand priorities and standards.
