About McIntyre Refrigeration & Ventilation

McIntyre Refrigeration & Ventilation has proudly served New Brunswick since 1978. We are a family-owned company built on quality workmanship, strong customer relationships, and a supportive team culture.

As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Refrigeration Department Manager to lead our refrigeration division in Eel River Crossing.

This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who enjoys leading people while remaining involved in technical work. The successful candidate will oversee technicians, coordinate schedules and workflow, support customers, and step into the field when required on complex jobs or troubleshooting situations.

What You'll Do

Leadership & Team Management

Lead and mentor refrigeration technicians
Create a positive and accountable team environment
Provide coaching and technical support
Assist with onboarding and training
Monitor department productivity and performance

Scheduling & Operations

Coordinate technician schedules and workload
Prioritize emergency service calls
Assign work based on experience and capacity
Ensure jobs are completed efficiently and on time
Work closely with administration and customer service teams

Technical Responsibilities

Assist technicians with troubleshooting
Support difficult installations and repairs
Perform field work when required
Ensure safety and workmanship standards are maintained

Customer Service

Build and maintain strong customer relationships
Assist with escalated service situations
Support project planning and quoting

Qualifications

Red Seal Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Certification required
Minimum 5+ years experience in commercial refrigeration and HVAC
Previous leadership or supervisory experience
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Valid New Brunswick driver's license

Compensation & Benefits

Competitive hourly compensation based on experience
Minimum 40 hours per week
Overtime paid at time-and-a-half after 44 hours

Le candidat retenu supervisera les techniciens, coordonnera les horaires et les opérations, soutiendra la clientèle et participera aux travaux complexes ainsi qu’au dépannage lorsque nécessaire.

Responsabilités principales

Leadership et gestion d’équipe

Superviser et soutenir les techniciens en réfrigération
Créer un environnement de travail positif et responsable
Offrir du coaching et du soutien technique
Participer à l’intégration et à la formation des employés
Assurer le suivi de la performance et de la productivité

Horaire et opérations

Organiser les horaires et la charge de travail des techniciens
Prioriser les appels de service d’urgence
Assigner les travaux selon l’expérience et la disponibilité
Assurer l’efficacité et le respect des échéanciers
Collaborer avec l’administration et le service à la clientèle

Responsabilités techniques

Soutenir les techniciens dans le dépannage
Participer aux installations et réparations complexes
Effectuer du travail sur le terrain au besoin
Maintenir les standards de qualité et de sécurité

Service à la clientèle

Développer et maintenir de bonnes relations avec les clients
Gérer les situations de service plus complexes
Participer à la planification de projets et aux soumissions

Qualifications

Certification Sceau rouge en réfrigération et climatisation obligatoire
Minimum de 5+ années d’expérience en réfrigération commerciale et HVAC
Expérience en supervision ou gestion d’équipe
Excellentes aptitudes en dépannage et résolution de problèmes
Bonnes habiletés en communication et en organisation
Permis de conduire valide du Nouveau-Brunswick

Salaire et avantages

Salaire horaire compétitif selon l’expérience
Minimum de 40 heures par semaine
Temps supplémentaire payé temps et demi après 44 heures
