Job Title: Housekeeping Attendant

Division: Resort Services

Department: Housekeeping

Responsible To: Housekeeping Supervisor

Work Location: 75 White Point #2 Hunt`s Point, Nova Scotia, Canada

Role Summary

The Housekeeping Attendant maintains and upkeeps cleanliness of guest rooms and designated areas as per the standards of White Point. Maintenance and cleanliness equipment and storage spaces. Follows established safety & security procedures.

Responsibilities

Providing efficient, attentive and friendly service to the guest
Adherence to established standards
Practices good customer relations
Has complete knowledge of services offered in the resort
Maintenance and cleanliness of guest accommodation
Maintenance and cleanliness of public areas
Maintenance and cleanliness equipment and storage spaces
Follows established safety & security procedures
Knowledge of telephone procedures
Other duties as assigned by management
Stripping guest rooms
Driving the golf cart
Quality of grooming
Quality of service provided
Informs manager of guest comments promptly
Degree of guest acceptance and satisfaction
Quality of coordinating with peers and results achieved

Requirements

WHMIS

· Secondary school diploma is preferred

· Physical mobility and stamina required

· Ability to follow instruction

Shift Duties
Communicates with the Executive Housekeeper or designate to determine the list of tasks to be completed during the shift and relays completed task information as instructed.
Checks housekeeping information sheets, computer printout of line
Stocks cart completely
Checks the cleanliness and good working order of the equipment
Order of rooms according to POF check ins, check ins, then stays and checkouts as available
Public Spaces
Maintains cleanliness of guest rooms as required including furniture arrangements, ashtrays, abandoned dishes, floors, light bulbs
Cleans and sanitizes guest room washrooms, restocks paper supplies and soaps, deodorizers
Cleans and sanitizes changerooms daily, including restocking of paper supplies, soaps, removal of used towels, cleans and sanitizes shower stalls
Cleans administration offices following frequency schedule

Working Conditions

● Must be able to work flexible hours including days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays

● Required to move, lift, carry, pull and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance

● Stand, sit or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire shift

● Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting and pulling

● Move over sloping, uneven or slippery surfaces
