Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Butcher/Meat Cutter to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of food safety and handling practices, along with experience in meat cutting and preparation. As a Meat Cutter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and presentation of our meat products while providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

Cut, trim, and prepare various types of meat according to specifications and customer requests.
Ensure all meat products are handled in compliance with food safety standards to maintain freshness and quality.
Package meat products for display or sale, ensuring proper labeling and pricing.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the meat preparation area, adhering to health regulations.
Assist customers with their selections, providing knowledgeable recommendations and exceptional service.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to fulfill orders efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality.
Monitor inventory levels of meat products and report any shortages or discrepancies to management.

Qualifications

Previous experience in the food industry, particularly in meat cutting or butchery, is preferred.
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations related to food handling.
Excellent knife skills and familiarity with various cutting techniques for different types of meat.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
