Global Pet Foods Truro is a proudly Canadian, locally owned and operated pet specialty store serving Colchester County since 2010. We are currently looking for a dependable, positive, and customer-focused team member seeking stable, long-term employment in a professional retail environment.
This is a hands-on, active retail role that combines customer service, sales, merchandising, inventory responsibilities, and ongoing learning. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys helping people, and values being part of an upbeat, supportive team.
Our store is active and built around teamwork, with a strong emphasis on helpful service and building relationships with pet parents. We value reliability and professionalism, while also believing work should be enjoyable, supportive, and positive.

Retail experience is an asset, but reliability, a positive can-do attitude, maturity, and a strong work ethic are equally important.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide friendly, knowledgeable customer service
- Confidently recommend products and solutions appropriate for pets’ needs
- Receive, stock, rotate, and merchandise products
- Maintain clean, organized shelves, displays, and storage areas
- Assist with inventory accuracy, pricing, and store presentation
- Participate in ongoing product and nutrition training
- Work collaboratively with teammates to support daily operations
- Represent Global Pet Foods professionally within the community
Qualifications:
- Previous retail or customer service experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable lifting up to 30 lbs and being on your feet throughout shifts
- Available for a mix of weekdays, evenings, and weekends
- Reliable transportation
- Comfortable using POS systems and basic computer programs
- Organized, dependable, and detail-oriented
