Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team in the role of cook/kitchen hand. This position involves providing exceptional food service, preparing meals, and ensuring a high standard of food safety and cleanliness. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry, excellent serving skills, and experience in restaurant or kitchen environments. This role offers an opportunity to develop culinary skills and contribute to a positive dining experience for our customers.

We are in a rural location and are not on a public transportation route. This must be considered when applying.

Responsibilities

Serve food and beverages to customers in a friendly and professional manner
Prepare and assemble meals according to established recipes and standards
Assist with food preparation, including chopping, mixing, and cooking ingredients
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas
Handle food safely by following proper hygiene protocols and safety guidelines
Ensure all food handling procedures comply with health regulations
Support team members during busy service times to ensure efficient operations
Restock supplies and manage inventory as needed

Skills

Significant experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments required
Knowledge of food preparation techniques and meal assembly
Strong understanding of food safety practices and handling procedures
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting
Good communication skills and teamwork orientation is imperative
Basic cooking skills with an interest in learning new culinary techniques
Attention to detail to maintain high standards of cleanliness and quality
