We are seeking a Procurement Student for our Atlantic Canada District, within our Canadian Buildings Division, that is available for 4 months starting September 2026 to work in Halifax, NS.

As a Procurement Student, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our team by:

Responsibilities

Helping in all aspects of the procurement process including Requests for Quotes, Purchase Orders, Price Lists, etc.
Maintaining acceptable and accurate inventory levels and reporting shortages.
Classifying, labeling, and warehousing all inventory for future use.
Keeping accurate records of inventory levels and location for easy retrieval.
Communicating with all department managers and the purchasing team on inventory levels and locations.
Maintaining a record of all transfers and disposal.
Implementing and following a control system to reduce damage, breakage, and inventory obsolescence.
Assisting the receiving and shipping department in logging all incoming inventory purchases.
Completing physical inventory counts as required and reconciling the inventory records for a complete and accurate count.

Qualifications

Enrolled in a Supply Chain Management specialization in a post-secondary institution.
Strong time management skills.
Good with numbers and place a large emphasis on attention to detail.
Strong communication and customer service skills and the ability to maintain a positive working relationship with clients.
Strong computer skills.
Previous knowledge of the construction industry would be considered an asset.
