Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a residential upholsterer . This role involves working in a dynamic manufacturing environment, utilizing various tools and machinery to support production, assembly, and fabrication processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, great attention to detail, experience with power and hand tools, and the ability to perform heavy lifting safely. This position offers an excellent opportunity for those with a passion for craftsmanship. This position is a three-month term with the possibility of extension.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain equipment such as industrial sewing machines, spray glue guns, and staple guns.
- Strip, repair, and reupholster furniture.
- Perform heavy lifting tasks safely to move materials or finished products
- Support productivity by organizing materials and maintaining a clean work environment
- Follow safety protocols at all times to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues
Requirements
- Proven experience with industrial sewing machines
- Proven ability to reupholster residential furniture
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Physical capability to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods during shifts
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 3 months
Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
